Galley Bay Resort Resort & Spa is the perfect all-inclusive retreat for the discerning traveler. It\'s secluded setting on the tranquil west coast of Antigua, enjoys forty-acres of tropical gardens between a bird sanctuary lagoon and a three-quarter mile beach.
Great care has been taken to ensure the resort complements these natural surroundings. Thatch, bamboo and terracotta establish an ambiance of refined rusticity in the public areas, while a picturesque wooden deck ensures maximum exposure to the ocean views. There is little disruption from the outside world as access to the resort is via a wooden bridge.
All guests are welcomed at the historical sugar mill reception and whisked by golf cart to one of the 94 suites and cottages. More than three-quarters of the accommodations lie directly on the white sand beach; the remainder tucked away in the gardens and boasting their own private splash pools.

Gauguin Cottage With Pool
Situated on the edge of a bird sanctuary lagoon, starting just 50 yards from the beach, each romantic cottage consists of two separate thatched rondovals - one for sleeping - the other a bath/dressing room (shower only),connected, by a sheltered breezeway. The plunge pools are either rectangular or free form in shape, each one concealed from its neighbor by a combination of the lush tropical vegetation and screens made from natural Spanish heather. Flanked by paved sun decks,they measure either 7 ft. by 9 ft. or 7 ft. by 13 ft. and are either step-up or level to the ground.

These traditional single level rooms are located directly on the beach and feature vaulted ceilings, private terraces and en suite bathrooms with showers only.
